Christmas Dinner December 2006
The last Friday in December by tradition has always been the Teesmouth Lifeboat Crew Christmas Dinner. Carrying on tradition on Friday 22nd December a Christmas Dinner was held in the Cleveland Golf Club Redcar. In all a total of forty-ex crew and honored guests all enjoyed T-Bone steaks again by tradition. After dinner a résumé of the services carried out by the Station for 2006, up until its closure in April 2006, was presented by ex Coxswain John Race M.B.E. this was followed by an update on the findings of the Redcar Councils Scrutiny Committees Report presented by Neil Marson, ex L.O.M. of the Teesmouth Station. There followed a presentation of certificates from the R.N.L.I. for services to the Teesmouth Lifeboat Station, to the long serving members of the crew totaling 177 years 6 months for these 10 members. Retired Coxswain of the Teesmouth Lifeboat Peter Race M.B.E made the presentation of the certificates.
