Coast Review

Rear Admiral John Tolhurst CB, Vice Admiral Sir John Coward, Michael Vlasto Operations Director and Andrew Ashton Divisional Inspector, arrived at the Teesmouth Lifeboat Station as part of the Coastal Review Delegation.
First the committee was introduced to the members of the station crew present. This was followed with a tour of the boathouse and relief ALB 47002 "Sam and Joan Woods", a look at the existing crew room, then into the new crew facility where a more formal meeting took place involving station management and crew.
Using information gathered at the meeting the committee will report back to the Search & Rescue Committee and the findings will be used to decide the future development of the station. When the Coastal Review meeting closed, Coxswain John Race, along with crew members Graham Petite, Peter Gunn and Norman Cassie took to the road and headed to Bonnie Scotland. (see Phil Returns).
