"Sarah Jane & James Season" a 47 foot Watson class Lifeboat fitted with twin 60 horsepower diesel motors giving a top speed of 9 knots..

"Phil Mead" a 47 foot Tyne class Lifeboat fitted with twin 425 horsepower diesel motors giving a top speed of 17.6 knots. This lifeboat is the eighth of the "Fast Slipway Lifeboats" (FSB) and has the operational number 47- 008. She is constructed utilising Steel for the hull and Aluminium for the superstructure and is now a well tried and tested vessel, having launched on service approximately 20 times each year to give assistance to an average of 66 persons each year. It is envisaged that when she is replaced, usually after 20 years service her replacement, no doubt bigger and faster, will continue to serve the crew and station in the finest traditions of all the lifeboats.
