30th July


The Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was launched on service at 5.40pm today to the assistance of the 26ft fishing coble "Osprey", which with two persons onboard was lost in fog between the River Tees and Skinningrove.

Following an extensive search by the Teesmouth Lifeboat the fishing boat was located approximately 3 miles East North East of the River Tees. The fishing coble was taken in tow to the River Tees, arriving at 7pm.

6th July

The Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was launched at 3.20pm today to the assistance of the 19 foot yacht "Mistral II" which with two persons onboard had got into difficulties 10 miles South of the River Tees.

Staithes Inshore Lifeboat stood by the Yacht until the arrival of the Teesmouth Lifeboat, once on scene the yacht was taken in tow to Hartlepool, arriving at 6.30pm

1st July

The Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was launched at 4.56pm today to assist a crewman with a broken arm, onboard the Norwegian Tanker “Clipper Harold”, which was in a position 3 miles East of the River Tees.

The lifeboat with a doctor onboard was alongside the vessel by 5.01pm. After transferring the doctor onto vessel to treat the casualty, the injured crewman was then taken back by lifeboat to the River Tees where he was transferred to an awaiting ambulance.

18th June

The Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was launched on service at 6.30pm following a report of a person in the water at the Newport Bridge, Middlesbrough. Inshore Lifeboats from Redcar and the Coastguard Search Team also joined the search.

At 9pm after an extensive search of the River Tees between the Tees Barage and down to Tees Dock, the serch was terminated with nothing found. Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat returned to station at 9.45pm.

Wind - West South West 40 knots Sea - Moderate

5th June

At 7.38am the Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was launched following a request from Cleveland Police to assist with the recovery of a crewman who had died onboard the 122,000 tonne Motor Tanker Randgrid. Lifeboat proceeded to sea with a Doctor onboard, and was alongside the vessel, which was 5 miles ENE of the River Tees by 8am. Lifeboat crew assisted the Doctor with the evacuation of the deceased crewman down 45 feet from the ship onto the lifeboat. Teesmouth Lifeboat then returned to the River Tees, the body was transferred to awaiting police officers.

4th June

At 7.45pm today the Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was alerted following the discovery on the beach at Redcar of clothing. Teesmouth Lifeboat undertook a search with the support of Redcar Inshore Lifeboat and Police Aircraft. At 8.30pm with nothing further found the search was called off.
