Lifeboat called to the Assistance of Yacht

Teesmouth All Weather Lifeboat was tasked at 1820 today following a report from Humber Coastguard MRSC that the Yacht "Vian Jo" with 2 persons onboard was becalmed and suffering engine problems approximately 10 miles South East of the River Tees.

Lifeboat launched and proceeded to the casualty position arriving on scene at 1900. Shortly afterwards a line was connected to the yacht, and a tow back to Hartlepool Marina commenced

2135 Teesmouth Lifeboat reported that the yacht was now safely berthed in Hartlepool Marina.

Wind: N'ly 5 Knots Sea: 2 metres
